Well, well, well! Another school year is soon to end but this school yearend is definitely a special one. why? Haler! its graduation time for me.The 4 year span of my Thomasian existence is already over. The calvary for a diploma is now soon to end. Yes! I feel happy…but i must say, its a big turning point.

In our lives, we face different turning points and crossroads. We have to face an essential change and choose one between two branching roads. I had face different sudden but important changes in my life. The adaptation to a new environment, the swallowing of a new system, the acceptance of a new clique, the embracing of a new found love…but definitely, graduation from college is really the scariest of them all. The presence of your diploma on your hands is rewarding but it also gives the feeling of fear.

Where will you be after stepping out of school? Will life treat you kind? Is there employment for every graduate who marched with you at the same time? Will money be that easy for you? Is success the next level? Will your diploma ensure you the easy way to the top?

Yeah i know! this is just a same old new graduate dilemma. I know the answers to these questions. Yet, its different when you know the answers are very uncertain. Its true, the future is unclear…that’s why its scary. Your diploma is a mark of the end of your school calvary…but the door for you to enter to carry a heavier cross.

Everything is about to change. I wont be having discounts for my jeepney fare. I wont be asking for my provisions anymore. I HAVE TO WORK FOR MY OWN.

I have to bid goodbye to the hapiness of student life. Say hello to the challenges of the real world.
